The site currently comprises a single field of former agricultural use with well-established hedging and trees to the boundaries but no landscape features of significance within the site. The site is bounded to the <\/span><span class=\"s17\">W<\/span><span class=\"s17\">est by Sun Lane to the <\/span><span class=\"s17\">N<\/span><span class=\"s17\">orth by the <\/span><span class=\"s17\">Watercress S<\/span><span class=\"s17\">team <\/span><span class=\"s17\">R<\/span><span class=\"s17\">ailway <\/span><span class=\"s17\">Line <\/span><span class=\"s17\">and public right of way (off site), to the <\/span><span class=\"s17\">E<\/span><span class=\"s17\">ast by agricultural land and solar farm and to the <\/span><span class=\"s17\">S<\/span><span class=\"s17\">outh by Whitehill Lane and the A31 just beyond.<\/span><\/p><p><span class=\"s17\">Once completed, the development will deliver 302 new homes comprising 1- &amp; 2-bedroom apartments as well as 2-, 3-, 4- &amp; 5-bedroom homes for families, 40% being allocated as affordable housing. <\/span><\/p><p><span class=\"s17\">The scheme illustrated on the map is split into two; the residential scheme is located to the north separated from the commercial area to the south by approximately <\/span><span class=\"s17\">sixteen<\/span><span class=\"s17\"> hectares of Parkland.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span class=\"s17\">The industrial area on the <\/span><span class=\"s17\">S<\/span><span class=\"s17\">outhern part of the site and will provide a mixture of facilities for light industrial use<\/span><span class=\"s17\">. <\/span><span class=\"s17\">All the plans and comments for this area can be examined on the WCC Planning portal under the reference 23\/02845\/REM.
